Sep 13, 2013 - Car Accidents

The roadways are a place where people witness various events. Driver often experience the stress of driving in traffic, traveling in construction zones or experiencing delays due to accidents. A serious car crash could cause traffic to be redirected and partial road closures. A negligent driver could cause a serious or fatal car crash. These accidents will often affect those involved, their loved ones and other drivers on the road.

Authorities in Deer Creek Township recently responded to a car crash that involved two vehicles. The two-car crash occurred on State Highway 79 around 5:40 p.m. According to preliminary reports, the accident occurred when a car traveling south on the roadway crossed the median and collided with a vehicle traveling north on the road.

Emergency crews responded to the crash and assessed everyone involved. It was reported that three people were killed in the wreck. The drivers of both cars and the passenger in the car traveling northbound died as a result of the crash.

Officers are still investigating the fatal automobile collision. Authorities have speculated the driver traveling southbound caused of the accident. If it is determined that he was at fault, the loved ones of the deceased driver and passenger in the other vehicle could have a cause of action. A wrongful death claim could be filed against the estate of the negligent driver. This could help recover costs associated with the crash such as funeral bills, lost wages and damages.

A fatal automobile accident can be a devastating event and a tough time for loved ones to cope with. Understanding whether a civil claim is available is important because it can help with bills, loss of companionship and the grieving process.

"Unfortunately, I had a a slip and fall incident and it left me in a situation where I struggled to support my family and I really had no idea what my rights were. Thankfully, someone recommended DHD, specifically Jeremy Puglia, and it was the best decision I could have made. I was able to focus on getting better while he made certain no one took advantage of me or the situation. He listened to what I felt was fair and why, discussed it all with me and fought for me. I would NOT want to be up against him in a court room. Some people were made to defend others and he is one of them for sure!"
