PENNSYLVANIA MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED AFTER MOTORCYCLE CRASH
Nov 29, 2013 - Motorcycle Accidents
The roadways at night are often more dangerous than they are in the daytime. Although there tends to be more traffic during the day, at night there could be hazards such as troubled night vision, difficulty seeing people or animals crossing the road, intoxicated drivers and fatigued driving. All of these could present serious dangers and could result in an accident. In addition, some vehicles might be more difficult to see at night, such as a motorcycle. If a driver fails to check and even double-check their blind spots, they could collide with a biker and cause amotorcycle crash.
Pennsylvania authorities are investigating a motorcycle accident that recently took place west of the Doylestown area. According to reports, a two-vehicle accident occurred around 2 a.m. The accident involved a motorcycle and a car.
According to preliminary reports, the 26-year-old motorcyclist lost control of the motorcycle he was operating. This resulted in the biker colliding with a car driven by a 22-year-old. Emergency crews arrived to the scene and the motorcyclist was flown to the hospital for treatment of his serious injuries. He was reported to be in critical condition.
The accident still remains under investigation, and authorities are still trying to determine what caused the motorcyclist to lose control of the bike and if the other driver had any role in the accident. Police are seeking witnesses that can help determine the cause of the crash.
Following an accident, an injured party could file a personal injury claim if another driver caused their injuries. The suit could result in compensation that could be used to cover the expenses associated with the accident such as medical bills, rehabilitation and damages.
Motorcycle accidents can be very serious often resulting in critical injuries, severe damage and even death. Those affected by the crash should seek to better understand their situation and rights when it comes to filing for compensation.
